We are searching for a Continuous Improvement Manager in our Advanced Systems & Technologies (AS&T) division, located in Plano, TX.

As the Continuous Improvement (CI) Manager, you will use lean and six sigma knowledge of CI tools along with strong leadership competencies to recognize and drive opportunities for improvement across all aspects of the business. This position will develop and foster a culture of CI by leading improvement activities involving employees from all levels of the organization, and will drive the formation and coordination of the business improvement portfolio of strategies.
You will demonstrate success by:
- Acting as an unwavering advocate of Lean Six Sigma (LSS) methodology; partner to Sr. Staff in leading the organization, through cultural change, to embrace an environment of continuous improvement and employee engagement.
- Supporting the annual development of company Strategic Goal Deployment (SGD) and execution throughout the year.
- Developing and implementing an operations/business continuous improvement roadmap that includes a project selection methodology/list and work with the management team to deploy the plan.
- Maintaining and driving project selection process for the business and prioritize to gain maximum benefit.
- Supporting root cause analysis and corrective action teams
- Developing and facilitating team charters, and train, educate and mentor those assigned to each chartered activity.
- Conducting project review meetings (build the cadence daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, etc.).
- Creating communication mechanisms for managing and tracking progress against targets (metric/goals).
- Developing and improving manufacturing and administrative processes through the use of lean tools.
- Carrying out advanced data collection and analysis for process mapping, budget development and cost analysis to determine project feasibility.
- Driving value stream mapping to define current and the transition to future state.
- Actively participating in industry associations for benchmarking and implementation of best practices
Qualifications:
Required:
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD clearance; must be able to obtain additional clearances as required
- BS degree (industrial or manufacturing engineering preferred), similar technical degree and/or Business degree with technical background via experience
- 10+ years of continuous improvement / lean six sigma leadership experience in a global, high technology industry
- Lean/Six Sigma Certification is required
- Excellent math, analytical, problem solving and project management skills
- Excellent written and verbal skills, good interpersonal skills, conflict resolution, negotiation and time management skills
- Experience developing processes, writing procedures and training hourly and exempt associates
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Physical requirements include the ability to travel up to 20% and the ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
