POSITION INFORMATION

The role of the Commercial Account Manager is to develop and achieve maximum profitable sales volume of products and services from commercial and fleet accounts in a designated territory. The role analyzes customer operations to discover future parts, service and truck opportunities. The position will generally be 80% calling on customers in the designated territory and 20% in the office.

BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES

· Attain the sales and gross profit objectives set by the Sales manager

· Plan territory coverage and call upon key accounts (current and prospective) regularly

· Take vehicle orders, introduce new products and promotions, reemphasize existing products and services and provide literature as necessary

· Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive account specific growth strategies

· Establish new accounts and qualify them

· Aggressively sell all products available

· Provide prompt, courteous and accurate service to customers

· Maintain familiarity with all vehicle models and merchandising programs

· Keep in monthly contact with top customers

· Maintain a professional appearance and attitude

· Maintain weekly contact with the Sales Manager

· Maintain a good working relationship with all departments of the dealership

QUALIFICATIONS

· Previous sales experience

· High School Diploma or GED

· Excellent customer service skills

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Computer skills

WORKING CONDITIONS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms and climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Employee drives company vehicle for extended periods of the day/week. Climbing in and out of vehicle is necessary at each stop along route. The employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee could be exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The employee will encounter a variety of situations as they travel around to customer locations. Also, a large portion of their work environment will be in the company truck.
