Overview
Hartford Healthcare St. Vincent’s Rehabilitation is seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) for its new West Haven location. The ideal candidate has passion for team collaboration and multi-faceted patient care, including outpatient neuro, orthopedics, headache, back/neck pain, gait/balance, and vestibular conditions. Experience in pelvic floor rehabilitation would be highly valued. Functional based approaches to exercise and activity are emphasized with our patients and include manual therapy and modality treatments as necessary. This position will also require some program development, physician relationship building and community marketing. This therapist will interact with rehabilitation professionals throughout the HHC system of care to ensure that best practices are followed in the provision of care. Data will be analyzed and utilized to improve patient outcomes, and the clinician will partner with program managers to implement, enhance, and optimize clinical programs.

Position Specifics
The Physical Therapist (PT) independently evaluates, determines treatment strategies, delivers and/or delegates services that identify, prevent, remediate, and rehabilitate acute or prolonged physical dysfunction or pain, with emphasis on physical dysfunction. This role encompasses evaluation skills and techniques, analysis of patients, and therapeutic application of physical and chemical agents, exercise and other procedures to maximize the patient's functional independence. Evaluation involves strength, motor control, joint mobility, soft tissue integrity, pain, balance, coordination, posture, cardiopulmonary function, endurance, gait and functional abilities in activities of daily living.

Qualifications
Requirements
- Graduate of Physical Therapy Program from an accredited American Physical Therapy Association school, with a BS, master's, or doctorate degree.
- CT active or temporary license.
- CPR certification
- Clinical Specialty Certification is highly valued: ortho, neuro, pelvic floor, lymphedema
