Open position for a licensed CSR and receptionist at Hartley Insurance in Silverton, Oregon
We are looking for someone with strong customer service skills and a desire to have a long-term association with a professional company. Position includes excellent benefits package. Compensation will depend on candidate's experience.
We prefer a licensed applicant but if not already licensed in Oregon we would require that the applicant obtain a P&C Insurance license within 90 days.
What we offer
Our agency has been established in Silverton since 1960. We are an independent agency with access to several Insurance carriers, including Safeco, Liberty, Mutual of Enumclaw, Sublimity, and Progressive. We provide individualized support, training, and reimbursement for training to obtain an insurance license if licensing is completed within 90 days of employment. Employee is eligible for all benefits after 60 days of employment. Paid time off is pro-rated based on the time of year the employee is hired.
Qualifications
- Ability to work in Silverton Monday-Friday from 8:30 am until 4:30 pm.
- Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office.
- Hawksoft experience is preferred.
- Capable of multi-tasking while focusing on completing high-priority items.
- Ability to work well with others and follow the direction of the Office Manager.
Responsibilities
- Accurate and timely maintenance of all customer information in the computer management system
- Proficient knowledge of the various company products, underwriting requirements, binding authority, policy forms, rating software programs (upload and download), and competitiveness in the marketplace
- Service part of existing personal lines accounts and all of the commercial accounts.
- Communicating with customers and company personnel on the phone or in-person during office visits and responding to all written correspondence.
- Answering coverage questions, recommending coverages, processing policy change information, taking claim information, collecting premiums, submitting the proper documents to the company, and verifying that documents received from company are correct.
- Issuing the proper insurance verification documents to the insured (auto id, certificates, etc.).
- Resolving customer problems & complaints (with assistance/direction from manager or agent as needed).
- Retain renewal business by contacting insureds to review coverages.
- Review current underwriting information in order to qualify customers for improved programs and monitor renewal premiums for excessive increases.
- Assist the agency in developing new business by providing accurate quotes in a timely manner, preparing proposals, completing company required forms and requests, submitting account information to the company, providing the customer with appropriate documentation, and verifying documents received from the company are accurate.
- Accurate and timely maintenance of the company calendar with appointments.
- Other duties as assigned by management within the job spectrum.
