What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Care Coordinator position at Harvard Square Chiropractic?
Harvard Square Chiropractic is looking for a friendly and hardworking assistant office manager to join our team! Our office staff is the backbone to creating a patient-friendly environment and a smoothly running office in the heart of Harvard Square. We are a well established practice in one of the Boston area's most vibrant communities.
Experience in a medical setting is preferred but not absolutely necessary. Typical work week will be Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 1PM-7PM and Friday 7AM to 3PM with potential for more hours in the future. Interested candidates should send their resume and cover letter via email.
Responsibilities include:
- scheduling patients at multiple offices for chiropractic, acupuncture and massage care
- checking patients' insurances and explaining benefits to patients
- professional phone, fax and email correspondence with patients, law offices and insurance companies
- claim verification
- multitasking other office and administrative responsibilities
Strong candidates should be highly organized, have strong communication skills, be an independent learner and worker, have great time management, and understand how to run an office that maintains a professional, yet casual atmosphere.
