NOTE: We will have training in the office in Frankfort and it will be at least 2 weeks and possibly longer – some training may take place remotely as well. After training the position will be mainly remote but we do all come in the office 1-2/month for all-staff meeting, etc.
Job Description
- Staff Co-Lead: Data and Shared Accountability Committee of Early Childhood Advisory Committee;
- Use the Client Longitudinal Data System (KLDS); perform detailed gap analysis of early childhood data;
- Create and manage a centralized data dictionary for birth-five;
- In partnership with the Client Governor’s Office of Early Childhood, use data to inform investments policy recommendations based on research and analytics;
- Create and execute plan to increase local data usage of new and existing resources;
- Partner with the Client Governor’s Office of Early Childhood to create effective ways to track, analyze, and report short-and long- term trend data;
- Create public-facing data tools and reports to engage local communities across the client;
- Using the KLDS to evaluate early childhood care and education strategies and programs to support equitable access to care and services;
- Serve as team lead for measurement and analysis for both long-term strategic projects and tactical matters, leveraging KLDS data to inform community;
- Analyze existing data from Client Governor’s Office of Early Childhood and community partners to inform practice and provide impact analyses;
- Work cross-functionally to help translate information to on-the-ground stakeholders;
- Help facilitate analytic capability and technology to improve results;
- Help communities identify strategies that have the biggest impact;
- Create public-facing data tools and reports and engage in research and analysis related to the Client Governor’s Office of Early Childhood , Regional Collaboratives and Community Early Childhood Councils;
- Through local innovation and decision-making, help communities use data to meet the needs of the most underserved communities and prioritize infants and toddlers;
- Through fiscal mapping tools, support efforts in sustainability and matching dollars; reinvasion how early childhood services could be provided in communities;
- Increase community knowledge of key data trends;
- Provide consultative services using research and data as primary tools;
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience coordinating analytical projects, large statistical reports, and applying advanced statistical methods
- Strong communication skills with the ability to write and present material clearly which can be easily understood by both technical and non-technical audiences (required please provide examples)
- Experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel, SAS/SPSS/STATA/R or other statistical software required
- Background in Early Childhood and quantitative methods is preferred
- Experience with Tableau a must, experience with ARC GIS, and Crystal Reports, Microsoft SSRS, or other report writing software preferred
Required Experience:
- Experience developing statistical reports, conducting analyses, and preparing complex information for agency leadership, education and workforce practitioners and the policy maker communities
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience developing, maintaining, and analyzing longitudinal data.
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in a quantitative statistics based academic discipline such as a social or behavioral science, policy studies, or economics is preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field with experience above the required minimum may be considered as a substitute for a master’s degree
- Content expertise in Early Childhood preferred.
Job Type: Contract
Salary: $35.00 - $39.00 per hour
