You can guard at your own neighborhood/apartment/condo/country club pool or a pool near you! We offer Lifeguard certification to anyone who’s a good swimmer! No experience is necessary.
Pay & Extras
- Up to $16.00/hour
- Another $1.00/hour with your end-of-season bonus
- $100 for each referral and an extra $100 for every third referral. ($400 for every three referrals)
- Paid training (excluding Lifeguard certification)
Lifeguard Duties
- Lifeguards will maintain surveillance while on duty and always remain rescue ready
- Lifeguards must respond to all emergencies
- Responsible for assigned opening, daily, and closing duties
- Testing pool water chemistry every four hours and document readings as required
Lifeguard Training Prerequisites
- Ability to swim 300 yards without stopping
- Tread water for 2 minutes without using your hands
- Swim 20 yards, dive to the bottom of a 9-foot pool and retrieve a 10-pound brick, swim on your back for 20 yards while holding the brick in both hands, and exit the swimming pool, within 1 minute and 40 seconds
