Agency :Havas Formula New York Job Description Summary : Havas Formula | Assistant Account Executive Location: New York, NY The AAE role effectively fosters media relationships to ensure brand/client coverage, provides top notch client service, and acts as creative contributor on accounts. Typically, individuals will contribute to four to six accounts based on division and VP discretion. Identifies for the AE |SAE potential mentoring opportunities for junior staff as needed. Job Description : RESPONSIBILITIES Media | Influencer Relations Consistently secures: Secures 5-10 unique placements a month, with 50% in top-tier media outlets as designated by division/client (trade, mainstream, national business) A minimum of 1 placement per month for each assigned vertical category per client 1 non-digital hit per month Facilitates phone and in-person interviews with clients, as assigned (subject to manager’s discretion) Provides weekly social media/competitive intel report and 1 client creative idea/pitch concept a week (subject to client and division’s needs and specific news monitoring parameters) Monitors trend/industry news for client coverage & clips placements with client-facing email for account team Ensures consistent and accurate weekly upload and reporting within agency’s dashboard Researches and builds influencer lists, using GroupHigh and other tools as provided by the agency Researches client speaking opportunities, industry awards, and competitor analysis Develops and delivers new creative pitch ideas Account Management May have direct contact with clients for media relations and day-to-day requests Participates in relevant weekly conference calls and select client meetings & contributes to brainstorms Manages client events and actively participates in the daily tasks involved i.e., tracking event workback plan, ROS/event materials, etc. May assist with editing client materials written by ACs and PRAs Contributes to sections of annual client recaps, plans and new business presentations Actively problem solves against account and team needs Assists in development of weekly, quarterly and annual client reports for both press and influencer programs Writing | Editing Drafts press releases, creative pitches, event/launch strategy docs, and other client communications Drafts client ready emails (may be reviewed by AE or SAE prior to distributing to client) May assist with editing client materials written by ACs and PRAs Junior Staff | Mentoring Assists manager with reviewing daily tasks and mentoring opportunities for PRAs and ACs Flags any performance concerns to manager for consideration as necessary Agency Contributions Proactively participates in agency’s development programs Contributes positively to the culture, atmosphere and values and exudes a positive outlook with the team Establishes professional and respectful employee relationships within division and agency Monitors and records time in agency’s system QUALIFICATIONS Education: Bachelor’s Degree (communications, liberal arts, business or marketing focus preferred) Experience: One to two years of public relations or marketing work experience Skills & Abilities: Strong writing (AP style), editing, listening and verbal communications skills. Resourceful and solutions focused. Capable of multitasking, prioritizing and organizing. Excellent attention to detail. Self-motivated and able to work well in a collaborative environment as well as individually. Effectively manages time, follows up, and is results driven. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and use|development of media databases.
