Job Summary:
- Utilizes the nursing process, for the performance of patient care, to assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient care to achieve prioritized patient outcomes.
- Initiates assessment and reassessment based on the patient’s presenting problems/needs.
- Records pertinent initial and ongoing patient data to identify nursing priorities for care and desired outcomes/goals.
- Performs comprehensive nursing assessments in an efficient and effective manner.
- Collaborates with other health care providers to coordinate medical and nursing management of patient care.
- Performs emergency treatment as required.
- Performs and maintains documentation.
- Promotes and ensures patient safety in performance of all responsibilities.
- Communicates and collaborates effectively with other health team members regarding patient condition, nursing plan of care, patient satisfaction needs and recommendations for meeting identified outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications:
- BSN from four-year college or university or ADN program with minimum of one (1) year related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Current Colorado RN License
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Must possess required certifications or be able to obtain within 120 days.
- Shift Differentials: Evenings – 10% of base salary. Weekends – 15% of base salary.
