Description
Haymarket Center Deli Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Deli Manager with monitoring the daily operations of the Haymarket Center Deli, delegating tasks to staff, supervising food orders and services, maintaining adequate stock inventory, and finding ways to minimize production costs without compromising quality services.
Requirements
- Monitors that proper temperatures are being maintained at all stages during the production of deli, cheese, and bakery items.
- Supervises the day-to-day functions of the service deli.
- Schedule service deli associates to ensure adequate coverage and service levels.
- Oversees all daily operations of the deli.
- Recruit, train and develop deli staff.
- Execute the training, coaching and performance management of food service customer service employees.
- Responsible for managing the daily activities of employees to improve sales performance and supervising employees in various duties, cooking, serving, packaging, and operating counters.
- Ability to work well individually in a team environment.
- Effectively manages and grows food service program.
- Plans and prepares work schedules.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid City of Chicago Food & Sanitation License
- Valid Illinois Food Handler's permit must be maintained.
- 2 - 3 years department management or equivalent retail management experience
- Must be at least 18 years of age due to equipment use and work environment.
