Full Time position onsite, hours 7:00am – 3:30pm.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate mills, lathes, grinders, including CNC controlled, and other machining equipment.
- Sort, receive, and process incoming/outgoing material(s)
- Inspection of parts and completion of inspection reports
- Complete assignments within proper quality specifications and in a safe manner
- Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specification, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations and setup requirements.
- Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines.
- Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, depth, and angle of cut.
- Calculate dimensions or tolerances, using instruments, such as micrometers and gauges.
- Evaluate procedures and recommend changes or modifications for improved efficiency or adaptability.
- Maintain work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follow directed safety procedures.
- Manage and organize own work while remaining a team player and managing other assigned tasks as required by the company.
- 3-5 years of Machinist experience or Associate Degree / Certification in Machine Technology.
- Mechanical aptitude with a desire to learn.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Accurately read measurements and verify production components meet engineering specifications.
- Self-starter who can work both independently and with a team.
