Hays Specialist Recruitment has partnered with an asset management company based in Vancouver, BC. We are seeking an operations Supervisor to join their team for a 6 month contract with potential to extend. This position is full time hours, and fully in office Monday-Friday.
Your responsibilities:
- Manage the activities of building maintenance staff to ensure the timely achievement of department.
- Provide regular motivation and mentoring to all staff.
- Hire, train and supervise staff by conducting the hiring process.
- Assist in the preparation and implementation of annual operating expense and capital budgets through reviewing past expenses.
- Assist the Operations Manager in managing relationships with tenants, addressing their concerns, and ensuring a high level of tenant satisfaction
- Coordinate the completion of all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance work.
- Oversee all construction performed by external trade contractors by utilizing knowledge of trades and regularly supervising procedures.
- Order necessary parts and services required to maintain efficient operation.
- Prepare accurate and concise reports by collecting and compiling relevant data.
- Follow and enforces all safety procedures.
- Identify specifications and secures quotations for specialized services or repairs and coordinating and overseeing the work performed to ensure that work is completed in accordance with all building code requirements.
- Maintain programs related to HVAC, through preventative maintenance, energy management, environmental management, waste management, landscaping, pest control, property security snow removal, parking lot and roof maintenance and rehabilitation, life safety systems, cleaning operations, tenant coordination and other pertinent aspects of physical operations to ensure the ongoing efficiency of the Centre operations.
What you need to succeed:
- A Stationary Engineer 4th Class Certificate
- A minimum 3 years experience in physical Operations management
- Previous supervisory experience, preferably in a shopping center, office or mixed use environment
- Knowledge of: HVAC, plumbing, general maintenance
