The Interior Project Architect plays a symbiotic role within the overall project team, working in concert with both the Project Manager and the Project Designer. While the Project Manager has overall responsibility for the project including Owner/client management and the Project Designer has overall responsibility for the design relative to the Owners goals, the Interior Project Architect is responsible for and has a specialized focus on the organization and completion of the technical documentation to realize the design vision for the project. The Successful Candidate:
If you are looking for an exciting new place to grow, HBG Design is seeking an experienced Interior Project Architect with the ability to balance design, project management, and technical goals. This position requires specialized proficiency in effectively leading, organizing, implementing, and completing technical documentation for interior spaces, and will work collaboratively with project teams to fulfill our clients design visions accurately and efficiently. The successful candidate will demonstrate passion and enthusiasm for project detailing, documentation, and process improvement.

The Team Environment:
With an established team of dedicated Design and Documentation champions, HBG Designs group of architectural detail designers and documentation professionals (having an average tenure of 10 years at HBG Design) are focused on process improvement and continuous innovation. This emphasis on design excellence allows the successful Interior Project Architect candidate to contribute and advance in their specialized knowledge of architecture and interior design for a range of hospitality, entertainment and mixed-use project sizes and types.

HBGs Design and Documentation champions have meticulously developed new practice tools and approaches that enhance the way our teams work by bringing clarity to highly complex processes. These improvements and streamlining of standards have allowed our project teams to amplify their design collaboration and produce design drawings and Revit models more efficiently and more accurately, with a substantially increased level of quality.

The Position Responsibilities:
Coordinate with designers, project managers, and other team members, including external consultants, to assist in the development of projects, according to a specific project work plan reflecting the firms goals for design and execution excellence.
Conduct regular reviews of project documentation and project schedule with the Project Manager.
Provide day-to-day guidance to technical staff in the performance of their duties.
In concert with Project Designer, determine what types of construction materials and methodologies will be used in the documentation of a building.
Manage and oversee the quality and content of project construction documents (plans and specifications), including Revit process management and Revit content management.
Resolve complex technical/design issues and provide guidance to project team and consultants.
Facilitate and review all consultant RFI responses and ASI packages.

The Required Qualifications:
10 years of professional architecture experience.
Experience in hospitality, gaming, and/or entertainment projects is preferred.
Current architecture license.
Four (4) or five (5) year architecture degree from an accredited program.
Proficiency in Revit software.
Knowledge of building technology, as demonstrated by self-produced documents and communication of the design process.
Knowledge of building codes, standards, and building structures.
Demonstrated sensitivity to architectural design, as illustrated by the caliber of portfolio/resume projects, and specific project design contributions.
Ability to collaboratively identify and resolve complex technical and design-related issues and cultivate innovative design solutions.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.

The Compensation:
$80,000 - $110,000 per year.
Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, regional cost of living, experience, and qualifications.
