We are seeking an Ultrasound Supervisor for our practice who provides clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care. As our Ultrasound Supervisor, you will act as the point of contact for the modality to the Assistant Director and Director of Imaging Services. This position assumes all responsibilities of the activities within the Department.
What you will do in this role:
Ensure appropriate staffing based on the patient/work load for their area.
Enforce attendance and tardy policies and report any discrepancies.
Perform and submit fair and unbiased performance evaluations.
Responsible for maintaining good order and discipline in the workplace. Perform verbal and written disciplinary actions when necessary.
Create and maintain appropriate work and call schedules (when applicable).
Ensure proper QA and QC procedures are performed.
Run and review "Taken" list daily to ensure that all completed exams are properly closed out in Meditech and in PACS
Hold regularly scheduled staff meetings and conducts in-service training
- Graduate of an accredited school of Sonography
- Sonography certification eligible/certification from the ARDMS (or equivalent) and current American Heart Association or Red Cross BLS. Must acquire ARDMS (or equivalent) certification within 6 months of employment.
- 3 years of Ultrasound experience required.
- 1 year of Supervisor experience preferred.
