The Account Director (AD) serves as the principle executive contact with HealthTrust members. In this role, the AD is responsible for working with members to drive value and savings to enhance their performance, as well as expanding HealthTrust’s footprint with the member and driving growth. The AD establishes and maintains professional business relationships, expedites the utilization of HealthTrust contracts and offerings by the members. The AD serves as a trusted advisor to the member(s) s/he supports, engaging member executivesregularly for the purpose of helping them achieve savings, improving performance, promoting standardization, and eliminating waste in the Supply Chain function and other key areas of their enterprise. The AD has leadership responsibility to develop and maintain a robust account plan, and executing against that plan to identify opportunities for his/her accounts to improve operational and financial performance. The AD effectively utilizes various data and analytics tools and reports to analyze and present key opportunities to the member(s) s/he supports, as well as summarizing and presenting savings results and other key information to the member(s). The AD works to coordinate HealthTrust resources to ensure that HealthTrust members are supported as effectively as possible, experiencing superior service that results in member loyalty and retention, as well as advocacy and promotion of HealthTrust to prospective members. This high profile and professional position may be home-based or office-based, depending on location of account assignments.Portfolio of assigned strategic accounts includes Hospitals, Ambulatory Surgery Centers, Long Term Care facilities, and/or Behavioral Health facilities. The ability to travel up to 25%, including overnight travel, is required for the role.
Key Responsibilities
• Formulates and leads as one point of contact for cross-business unit strategies and plans for member.
• Move strategic customers from current state to a trusted strategic partnership; formalize partnership through an agreement that is recognized across HealthTrust and the account.
• Meets member specific targets for organic growth, contract performance, compliance, conversions, PA renewal, savings and strategic objectives.
• Establishes productive, professional and consultative relationships with C-Suite and executive personnel throughout member organization, building credibility and trust through collaboration.
• Leads solution development efforts that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary HealthTrust personnel.
• Proactively leads a joint company-strategic account planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones for a one to three year period that leads to a clear action plan for success.
• Coordinates the involvement of the vertical team (Specialists, Account Managers, Support Services, technical resources, operations management and leadership) to develop and articulate a strategic vision for member in order to meet account performance objectives and customers expectations.
• Builds strategic partnerships with accounts to further advance company goals of revenue and margin enhancement.
• Establishes strong relationships with key internal Sourcing, Supply Chain, Clinical Resources and Finance within HealthTrust to become a Trusted Advisor.
• Keeps the organization’s vision and values at the forefront of decision-making and action.
• May supervise staff assigned to support responsibilities for specific customers.

• Working knowledge of healthcare industry, supply chain, GPOs, clinical and business personnel
• Strong analytic skills-- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel with the ability to use functions such as Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, etc.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word.
• Ability to gather, analyze and make sense of large amounts of data and apply it to make business and customer-focused decisions.
• Ability to demonstrate financial knowledge and business acumen.
• Able to work under consultative direction toward predetermined long-range goals and objectives, where assignments are often self-initiated.
• Excellent communication and inter-personal skills; able to present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization including the C-Suite.

EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in business or management related field preferred.
EXPERIENCE
• Minimum 5 years of strategic account management experience managing large national and/or global brand relationships and at least 3 years of market segment experience or successful record of accomplishment as a Strategic Account Manager (supply chain and healthcare industry preferred)
• Sales experience- prospecting, pipeline development, conversion
• Project management experience
• Experience working with data analysis and visualization tools, such as Microsoft PowerBI and Tableau
• Experience with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Salesforce CRM experience preferred
• Consulting experience a plus
CERTIFICATE/LICENSE
• CMRP Preferred, FACHE Preferred
