Job Summary and Qualifications
The Director ensures high quality, patient-centered care through oversight of the overall function and staffing of the unit(s)/department(s) in addition to forecasting, planning, and budget monitoring. The Director fosters a culture of accountability and collaboration and supports the development and implementation of strategies, policies, and procedures in support of facility objectives.
What you will do in this role:
- Develop processes for monitoring and improving the financial performance and resource utilization of the Trauma Center.
- Perform strategic planning and coordinate optimal care of trauma patients across the care continuum.
- Coordinate efforts between local and regional trauma systems.
- Monitor clinical processes, outcomes, and system issues related to the quality of care provided.
- Develop quality filters, audits, and case reviews to identify trends and events.
- Design the trauma registry to facilitate performance improvement activities, trend reports, and research while protecting confidentiality.
- Manage the processes for verification and re-verification for the Trauma Center.
What qualifications you will need:
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing required; Masters Degree preferred.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- PALS Pediatric Adv Life Support must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date.
- Registered Nurse or approved compact license required.
- Critical Care Registered Nurse Acute/Adult (CCRN), or Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) beneficial.
This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
