Lead Case Manager (Registered Nurse) - INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY
SCHEDULE: Full-time, Days (with weekend rotation)
POSITION SUMMARY:
The primary purpose of the Lead Case Manager is to ensure that primary operations of the Case Management Department function efficiently. This position maintains a caseload or equivalent assignment as volume dictates while providing a first line resource to Case Managers and Medical Social Workers. This position routinely dialogs with the Manager and/or Director to ensure seamless front-line communication.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associates Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing required; BSN preferred
- Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license or approved multi-state RN license required
- Certification in Case Management, Nursing, or Utilization Review preferred
- Five (5) years of nursing experience in an acute care setting is required
- Five (5) years of Case Management experience preferred
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:
- Proficient in Excel and Word
- Ability to establish and maintain collaborative and effective working relationships
- Ability to communicate effectively in oral, written and electronic formats
- Demonstrates analytical and critical thinking abilities with pro-active decision-making and negotiation skills
- Demonstrates an ability to perform specific competencies as identified on the Case Management Competency Grid
