We seek a Radiology Technician Lead for our center to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high-quality, efficient care. The Radiology Technician Lead demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patients served in his/her department.  Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span, possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and provides the care needed as described in the departmental policies and procedures.

Provides health care services applying x-ray energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment.  Performs radiographic procedures producing images for interpretation by or at the request of a licensed practitioner.  Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor that reflects a high standard of medical ethics.  Recognizes conditions essential for the successful completion of procedures.  Provides leadership and supervision of all employees and students in the diagnostic section.  Provides appropriate health care services to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.Must provide leadership to employees on designated area/shift. Must be an active participant in the management team of Imaging Services.

Other responsibilities are as follows, daily monitoring of the Plus/ staffing productivity, monthly and daily schedules of staffing.  Ordering supplies for their department, and perform the daily verification of charges for that department.  This position also requires the lead to attend all monthly staffing meeting, weekly Management team meetings and participate in the yearly evaluations of their staffing, and interviewing for new positions in the department.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelors Degree preferred.

LICENSE:

  • Registered by the ARRT preferred, will consider ARRT eligible candidates if they have previous Management/Supervisory experience.
  • ARRT eligible candidates must pass ARRT exams within 90 days of hire.
  • Candidate must have a current CPR certificate in Basic Life Support (BLS).

 EXPERIENCE:

  • Two years clinical experience in Radiology.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Proven leadership.
