Seeking a Staffing Coordinator for the Behavioral Health Department at Medical City Mckinney who provides clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care. The Staffing Coordinator duties include but are not limited to:

  • Schedules staff to ensure that the units are fully staffed and safe; includes posting a balanced and healthy schedule by due date, replacing staff during scheduled time off and when call-ins occur
    • Uses patient census and information regarding patient acuity to staff
    • Coordinates with agencies to obtain per diem staff as needed
  • Timekeeper for the department; reviewing, approving, and making needed corrections; communicates with staff and leadership to ensure accurate time/payroll
    • Assist the director/manager to monitor overtime, tardiness and attendance
  • Monitors and manages productivity and coordinates this with the director or designee
  • Assist with data collection and reports as assigned
  • Assist with maintaining Human Resource files on employees
  • Orient new employees to schedule, call-ins, requesting PTO, and payroll
  • Support the mission of the hospital, communicate effectively with staff, physicians, management, external and internal customers in all situations, adhere to hospital policies and procedures
  • Assist to maintain par levels of supplies, answering multi-line phones, and paging

Qualifications

Education/Experience

  • High School Diploma / GED or equivalent required
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
  • Computer skills preferred
  • Office equipment knowledge preferred

Licensures/Certification

  • Current American Heart Association Healthcare BLS or American Red Cross BLS required
  • Must complete restraint and seclusion training as well as techniques to address aggressive or threatening behavior (as outlined in Rule 415.257 of the Texas Administrative Code) prior to assuming direct care responsibilities

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Reasoning and mathematical skills required
  • Must exhibit ability to work under pressure and maintain composure and pleasant manner
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required; uses Recovery Language
  • Proficient with Word & Excel
  • Prioritizes tasks appropriately
  • Exhibits ALWAYS values
