Job Summary and Qualifications
As a Cardiac Cath Lab Specialist you would participate in the development of the plan of care for patients undergoing invasive diagnostic cardiac and vascular testing or interventional procedure. You would perform scrub and monitoring duties utilizing all aspects of catheterization equipment, while applying prescribed procedure for operation of radiology imaging equipment; including storing of images, burning CDs, archiving, calculates ejection fraction from LV gram.Functions in the capacity of scrub tech, circulator, and monitor person for diagnostic and interventional procedures and cares for patients post procedure with an RN or LPN.
Assists physician with cardiac catheterization procedures and contributes to cardiac diagnosis.
Restocks and cleans work area to promote patient safety.
Responsible for all phases of the Digital Imaging system ; PACS
Transports and assists with the setup preparation of patients.
Actively supports team as participant to turn over procedure room in a timely manner.
Actively participates in continuing education.
Serves as a liaison for the electrophysiology lab to promote physician, interdepartmental and intradepartmental relationships.
Utilizes equipment and performs special procedures competently as related to the Cath Lab Scope of Care.
Efficiently communicates verbal and written information, instruction or education to the patient, family members and other members of the health care team as appropriate.
Takes call as needed per hospital policy.
Requirements:RCIS or R.T. (R) (ARRT).Basic Life Support Certification.Minimum one to two years of cath lab experience preferred.Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center has provided quality healthcare services since 2010.
