Position Summary:

Under direction of RN, provides assistance in patient care in accordance to the patient care standards in a comprehensive manner through the use of the nursing process. The PCT performs delegated duties consistent with his/her scope of practice and functions within the philosophy and overall plan of care delivery at NSMC. The PCT may perform as the Telemetry Tech if appropriately trained. The Tele Tech performs clerical and receptionist duties in accordance with the philosophy, goal and objectives of North Suburban Medical Center. The Tele Tech monitors and appropriately reports the patient's cardiac rhythm and vital signs as needed.

Position Requirements:

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

• Current Colorado certification as Nursing Assistant.
• Current BLS certification.
• High school diploma, GED or equivalent

Experience:

• 1-2 year's acute care experience desirable
• Telemetry experience preferred
