Job Title: Enterprise Solutions Architect
Job Description and Summary
The Enterprise Solutions Architect unites HCL Mode 123 next-gen IT Services strategy. As an Enterprise Solutions architect you need to be well versed with Next Generation technologies such as Software Defined Datacenter, Hybrid Cloud, Converged Networks, Cybersecurity, IoT, Digital workplace and other transitional services in the IT infrastructure space. The Enterprise Solutions Architect will:
Lead the Steady State operations contract from the architecture governance standpoint
Engage the client architects and senior stakeholders to work on further account strategies, architecture roadmap and technology/service lifecycle management to support the client s business change program using next-gen IT services and become a trusted advisor to the client on architectural topics.
Engages with clients as part of Pre-sales/ RFP process for validating the architectures and solutions proposed in the solution response by HCL Practice teams
Provide support for incremental business growth
Implement and run architectural governance to ensure the integrity of the HCL services are maintained during change programs, i.e. continue to deliver as contracted
The Enterprise Solutions Architect will have a line reporting to the Head of IT Architecture and functional reporting to the respective client account stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Establish IT Architecture Governance framework, Architecture roadmap including as-is and to-be
solution architecture blueprints and technology product lifecycle management
Identifying new opportunities, build solution architecture, evangelise the technology and adjust the
solution proposal that meets customer requirements. The solutions will be based on next-generation
IT solutions spanning one or more of the following areas: Digital Workplace, Software Defined
Datacentre, Converged Networks, CyberSecurity, Unified Communications, Future Mode Operations
including Tooling and Infrastructure Services
Work closely with the HCL Account Directors, Service Delivery Managers, Practice Architects, Technical
Architects, project managers from HCL and client side. Along with the HCL application development
team, HCL infrastructure support, suppliers and other/HCL domains as required.
Ensure that infrastructure solutions make the most efficient use of resources, technical and people, to
provide the best value to both the client and HCL.
Identify opportunities for operational improvements that improve customer service and create
competitive advantage
Help resolve issues affecting the infrastructure including performance, processes and service issues.
Provide comprehensive technical and procedural advice and guidance to team members, other HCL
domains and customers as required
Attendance at the design and other client forums representing HCL.
Support the development of new ideas/business case/opportunities into fully fledged solution
proposals during the pre-sales stages. Identify innovative uses of technology that improve customer service and create competitive advantage
Adhere to client technology governance and project framework.
Help develop innovative uses of technology in conjunction with HCL architects and client architects to
improve service and cost-effectiveness
Be seen as an agent of change within the organization. Engage with support teams to create energy for
change.
