Position: Utilities Research Coordinator: Utilities Division

Status: 1099 Contract Employee

Date: 1 September 2023

Salary Range: $20-25 an hour

HDGroup, INC is seeking a contract employee in the Bryan-College Station, TX area, with the option to become a full HDG employee wholly dependent on job performance and project volume. Previous job history working for (or with) a local utility provider would be beneficial for this position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Utility Coordinator position requires strong organizational skills along with a heavy volume of multi-tasking between projects on a daily basis that include the following tasks:

· Making and fielding calls with utility providers

· Creating project-specific due diligence reports with tight deadlines

· Completing utility provider applications and other relevant documents both in PDF format and online

· Obtaining project-specific construction plans from Client and providing to local utility provider design engineers

· Discussing and facilitating utility provider designs to accommodate Client loads and utility distribution with Client design engineers

· Coordination with Client design managers, construction project managers, and Client-awarded general contractors and subcontractors

· Managing reporting on projects for Client

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

· Professional phone etiquette in speaking with utility providers, architects, engineers, clients

· Well-developed writing ability for reporting and email communication is a must!

· A working knowledge of civil site utility plans, architectural plans, mechanical, electric & plumbing plans to identify the required utility services to be installed during construction

· Identify utility services on maps provided by utility providers

· Identify existing utility services on as-built plans provided by property owner/landlord

· Mastery of Outlook, Google Mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Docs, Google Sheets

· Ability to navigate project file structures internally through HDG company portal and client project file structures on client portals

The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
