Primary Responsibilities
HDR Engineering is looking for a Complex Bridge Analysis Lead to join our team. The Complex Bridge Analysis Lead will be expected to perform complex structural analysis on steel and concrete bridges, including long-span girders, arches, cable-supported bridges, and segmental bridges. Analysis tasks may include seismic analysis, non-linear time-history analysis, staged-construction analysis, local finite-element analysis, complex bridge load rating, and soil-structure interaction.
In the role of Complex Bridge Analysis Lead, we'll count on you to:
- Lead modeling and analysis efforts to support complex and long-span bridge designs, perform structural load calculations as required.
- Work in a team environment as well as independently.
- Support the bridge design group and other disciplines by applying structural engineering and detailing techniques in the development of structural designs.

Required Qualifications
- MS in Civil Engineering with Structures emphasis (or similar) required.
- PE certification.
- Minimum 10 years bridge design experience.
- Proficiency in use of typical office software such as Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
- Experience in CAD platforms such as Microstation, Autocad, Inroads, and Civil 3D considered a plus.
- Seismic analysis experience, including response spectrum analysis and non-linear time-history analysis.
- Experience in structural analysis software such as SAP2000, CSiBridge, LARSA, SOFiSTiK, Midas, ADINA or similar.
- Familiarity with AASHTO Bridge Design Specifications and other DOT design guidelines considered a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must have good communication skills and be willing to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment on a wide range of projects.

Typical starting pay range for this position:
California will be $112,420.00 - $189,800.00 annually/hourly depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location.
Washington will be $97,090.00 - $167,900.00 annually/hourly depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location.
