As we continue to expand and diversify our service offerings, we are seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee all building-related activities.

 

The Facilities Manager ensures that each facility is equipped to operate as it should daily. With the support of the VP of Finance, they ensure the facilities have all the tools and devices needed to maximize productivity and efficiency. The Facilities Manager oversees the management of leases and utilities for all locations, ensuring effective communication with landlords and timely setup of services. They forecast office supplies and equipment needs, ordering replenishments as necessary, and recommend maintenance and facility design modifications.

Roles and Responsibilities

·       Manage leases for all locations including communication and coordination with landlords.

·       Setup and maintain utilities for all locations.

·       Forecast upcoming needs for office supplies and equipment and order replenishments as necessary.

·       Recommend maintenance, mechanical, electrical, and facility design modifications.

·       Provide administrative and clerical support for Accounts Payable Department.

·       Manage equipment renovations and refurbishments.

·       Plan and coordinate all installations (telecommunications, utilities, supplies, etc.) for new locations

·       Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs

·       Control activities like parking space allocation, waste disposal, building security etc.

·       Allocate office space according to needs

·       Handle insurance plans, service contracts and all applicable business licensing

·       Create and Manage Employee Safety Program

·       Scheduling routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors

·       Ensuring proper security measures for the workplace, including collaborating with security system vendors or a team of security professionals

·       Keep financial and non-financial records

·       Perform analysis and forecasting

 

Qualifications

·       3 years experience as facilities manager or relevant position

·       Well-versed in technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices

·       Knowledge of basic accounting and finance principles

·       Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·       Excellent organizational and leadership skills

·       Good analytical/critical thinking

·       BSc/BA in facility management, engineering, business administration or relevant field
