The Sr. Quality Engineer is responsible for driving quality throughout the organization. They will be responsible for monitoring and identifying the appropriate quality requirements, to improve compliance and process management of the Quality Management System (QMS). Supports the business by ensuring that the processes are suitable, maintained, and advises on deficiencies. Acts on behalf of the Quality Assurance Manager on an as needed basis. The Sr. Quality Engineer is responsible for driving quality throughout the organization. Key Details:
- Work Days and Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, flexibility to set schedule
- Location: This is an onsite position located in Addison, TX.
- Compensation: $80,000-$90,000 based on education/experience and comprehensive benefits package.
- Work Eligibility: Must be authorized to work in the United States.

What you’ll do
- Support the implementation of the quality requirements, coach, and train staff at all levels.
- Maintain documentation and procedures to manage the process.
- Support accreditation requirements specified by the business.
- Plan and conduct internal audits and support process owners to rectify or improve the process.
- Coach the team on quality requirements, investigation, reports to interested parties, to resolve and prevent quality related issues.
- Read and understand drawings and geometrical tolerancing. Identify key characteristics and ensure the process has captured these.
- Data input into internet portals for customers and certification bodies.
- Review purchase orders and verify the business can satisfy quality requirements.
- Provide support for external audit bodies and customers.
- Trained as an auditor, to be able to audit all of our internal systems identifying issues and recommending solutions.
- Capable of providing capability study results. Use statistical techniques and measurement equipment.
- Manage calibration system and coordinate all equipment in use is calibrated.
- Identify root cause and analysis for quality issues, using statistical technics and tools.
- Escalate to management issues that affect airworthiness and quality.
- Support the setting of guidelines and standards for performance levels and inspection requirements.
- Support annual training of staff for compulsory courses.
- Maintain registers and logs, and accuracy.
- Generate and complete AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs).
- Work with internal teams to increase customer satisfaction by improving the quality of the products.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Three (3) to five (5) years of quality assurance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledgeable of ISO 9001, AS9100, or other quality management system standards.
- Proficient at reading and understanding written processes, engineering blueprints, and other technical documents.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and principles.
- Knowledgeable of quality principles and quality tools.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to adapt and respond quickly to changing situations.
- Ability to work independently and in teams.
- Must be able to effectively work with multiple departments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field or two-year degree in a field such as manufacturing or electronics.
- Experience in a regulated industry such as aerospace or medical.
- Knowledgeable in AS9102 First Article Inspection requirements.
- Experience in electronics manufacturing and IPC standards.
- Experience using a Faro Arm/CMM equipment.
