We are currently in search of a sales associate to join our cannabis facility, aiding in the execution of daily operational tasks. This role entails providing customer assistance within our showroom environments.
Key Responsibilities:
· Customer service: Assisting customers in selecting products that meet their needs and preferences, providing information about different strains, products, and consumption methods.
· Product knowledge: Staying informed about the various cannabis strains. This includes understanding the effects, potency, and recommended usage of each product. This includes understanding the differences between indica, sativa, and hybrid strains, as well as the effects of different cannabinoids (such as THC and CBD).
· Compliance: Ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations regarding the sale of cannabis products, including age verification and product labeling requirements.
· Sales: Processing transactions accurately and efficiently, upselling products when appropriate, and recommending complementary items to enhance the customer's experience.
· Inventory management: Monitoring inventory levels, restocking shelves, and ensuring that products are properly stored and displayed.
· Education: Provide guidance on responsible cannabis use, harm reduction practices, and answering any questions customers may have about cannabis laws and regulations.
· Safety and security: Maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for customers and staff, following security protocols to prevent theft or unauthorized access to products.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required.
The candidate must have:
- Prior retail sales experience, preferably in the cannabis industry.
- Knowledge of cannabis products, strains, and consumption.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers.
- Excellent computer skills needed.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings, and possibility weekends.
- Live Scan required for this role.
- No recreational cannabis-use is tolerated during work hours.
- Must be 21 years of age
