What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinic Coordinator position at Healing California?
Healing California is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization which provides free dental and vision services to those in need across California.
Summary: This is a full-time position which supports our mission by assisting with program and clinic operations at our mobile clinics across California. This is an excellent opportunity for a high-performing individual to join a rapidly growing team and organization and make a significant impact. This position requires overnight travel within California, 2-3 times per month. Travel expenses will be paid.
Duties
· Work with program team to deliver free healthcare clinics across assigned regions.
· Coordinate and serve as lead for execution of assigned clinics.
· Serve as lead or support for on-site setup, teardown, loading and unloading of all equipment and supplies.
· Ensure materials, supplies, work stations, and relevant tools are prepared and accessible for all programs.
· Collect feedback from program patients, partners, and volunteers.
· Support program team to pack and prepare for clinics.
· Must be willing to drive long distances and drive 16-24 foot sized trucks.
· Maintain patient documentation.
· Serve as lead in delivery of patient correspondence.
· Complete donor touch points as assigned.
· Some evenings and weekends required.
Qualifications:
· Minimum of a bachelor’s degree preferred (preferably in Social Services, Optical or Health Related Disciplines) or 3 years of experience in a related field
· Minimum 1-3 years working in non-profit, optical, health or a related field
· Some experience in warehouse loading and unloading
· Demonstrated experience in organization, scheduling and/or administration
· Detail oriented, self-starter, with demonstrated success in meeting deadlines
· Strong interest in a non-profit career
· Strong project management skills
· Event coordination and/or event delivery background
· Collaborative, results-oriented, positive, and energetic team player
· Must be willing and able to drive long distances and drive 16-24 foot sized trucks.
· Ability to lift 25 pounds or more.
Preferred Experience (Not Required):
· Optical experience including dispensing, quality control and fabrication of glasses (or willingness to learn). Opticians and Optical Technicians Welcome!
· Warehouse loading and unloading experience (or willingness to learn)
· Event coordination/event delivery
