Responsibilities
We have an immediate opening for a Human Resources Assistant. This position is an entry level opportunity perfect for a new college grad or career changer interested in learning human resources. This is an office based role; occasional work from home may be offered but most of the work requires being in the office.
- Initiate Background Checks
- Assist with collecting new hire paperwork and setting up personnel files
- Employment Verification
- Personnel Filing
- Send benefits and other mailings through US and Email
- Assist new hires with using the time clock
- Assist with Company activities such as barbeques, parties, potlucks, contests, etc
- Prepare recognition emails
- Assist senior managers with project work
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent judgment & prioritization skills: proactively prioritizes needs and keeps the HR team up to date
- Must have excellent communication skills: verbal, interpersonal and written. This includes strong spelling and grammar skills and basic mathematical calculations.
- A strong ability to self-direct and work independently in a high-volume, employee facing role
- Customer orientation: establishes and maintains long-term internal customer relationships, building trust and respect by consistently meeting and exceeding expectations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) applications.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of privileged information.
- High school diploma or GED required, Associates Degree preferred.AAE/EOE
