This position is responsible for Data Warehouse life cycle enhancements: interpreting reporting requirements and translating those requirements into actionable ETL/ELT, Data Modeling and Report enhancements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Works with data analysts and other business users to identify reporting requirements
• Quickly learn about LocalEdge data and how it relates across all source systems.
• Develops and designs database models/enhancements as well as ETL/ELT procedures to integrate needed data into existing dimensional data warehouse
• Participate in process improvement to ensure secure, tight, repeatable deployment from testing to production data warehouse environments
• Effectively manage the balance of current and future needs in data model design
• Develops reporting and ad-hoc analysis as requested by department
• On-Call support for ETL / DW issues
• Works in a Scrum environment using agile techniques
• Performs other related duties as assigned

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

A degree with a concentration in Computer Science or related field is preferred, equivalent work experience is acceptable

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS :

• Knowledge of warehousing architecture techniques and data modeling principles
• SQL knowledge: query performance tuning, index maintenance, analytic functions
• Knowledge of at least one ETL tool (SSIS, Informatica, Pentaho, WhereScape, etc.)
• Strong drive to learn and grow technical skillset
• Microsoft SQL Server management and development (T-SQL, SSIS) experience preferred
• Strong communication, time management and planning skills
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex technical problems
• Windows or Linux scripting experience a plus
