Duties & Responsibilities:

• Supervises and supports Travelers Aid Volunteers, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity.
• Delivers supplies to information desks throughout the airport, supporting volunteers in their roles.
• Provide crisis-intervention services for referred participants and manage Protective Travel Service (PTS) cases.
• Assigns PTS/participant/project tasks to volunteers and approves financial transactions within established guidelines.
• Develops and maintains professional relationships with airport groups and organizations.
• Make presentations to recruit volunteers and raise awareness of our services.
• Ensures accuracy, timeliness, and professionalism in program reports and projects.
• Stays current in the field through self-initiated learning and Heartland Alliance training.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• The Social Service Supervisor assists in supervising Travelers Aid Volunteers.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or a related discipline.
• Minimum two years of supervisory experience.
• Bilingual proficiency is strongly preferred.

Work Environment:

• 100% onsite at Chicago O’Hare International Airport.
• Flexible working hours and days of the week.
• Daily airport security screening is required.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to perform precise or skilled physical activities (e.g., keyboarding).
• Capability to engage in non-technical work activities (e.g., read mail, file documents).
• Occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds.
