The Receptionist serves as first contact for visitors and callers to the Racine Corps and performs general office duties.
About the role:
- Answers all telephone calls in a courteous and professional manner. Transfers all calls to appropriate person and taking messages as necessary.
- Greet all guests in a polite and courteous manner. Serves as the first point of contact for those entering the office and will direct guests in and around the building with proper supervision and guidance to maintain building security.
- Share information regarding services and programs offered at the Corps.
- Processes all outgoing and incoming mail; route incoming mail to proper recipients.
- Provides administrative and clerical support to the Corps Officer as requested.
- Provides program support for Social Services/Senior Center Director.
- Assists with data entry, statistics, composes and compiles reports of services and activities.
- Assists with Christmas Campaign, such as maintaining inventory, tracking of bell ringer schedules and payroll, and preparing necessary campaign correspondence as directed.
- Orders office supplies and ensures maintenance of office equipment is completed as needed.
- Maintains a positive working relationship with a variety of contacts, such as donors, volunteers, advisory board members, community groups, service providers and staff.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience: Two years in a clerical or receptionist role preferred
