Program Management Staff
The Medical Support Professional (MSP) is responsible for overseeing a variety of medical/dental and medication related activities for the residence, under the oversight of the program nurse and program management. The Medical Support Professional schedules all medical/dental appointments in conjunction with the program nurse.
The Medical Support Professional is also available to serve as a DSP, either part-time on a regular schedule or as needed, depending upon total weekly MSP hours. This includes implementing person-centered services for each individual and ensuring implementation of the individuals services, goals and outcomes in relation to program-based and community inclusion activities. In addition, the Direct Support Professional is directly responsible for the individuals overall physical and emotional well-being.
- Minimum of high school diploma or GED. Some college experience preferred.
- One or more years experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
- Valid NYS Drivers License preferred.
