JOB SUMMARY
The Key Account Coordinator drives key chain account sales to deliver growth plans that benefit both Heidelberg Distributing Company and its customers. Through collaborative work with key customers, the Key Account Coordinator will have a direct hand in building a strong foundation of sales for our supplier partners and their products. Responsibilities range from the management of sales to the development of relationships with key account customers. Ultimately, a Key Account Coordinator is responsible for helping the company understand what its customers expect; and how we can best serve existing customers while attracting new ones to our customer base.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The main purpose of a Key Account Coordinator is to maintain the company’s existing relationships with an account, or group of accounts, through the building of positive business growth. Our goal is to build strong relationships that highlight Heidelberg Distributing Company as our customers’ #1 choice for adult beverage products.

- Monthly Sales Performance Reviews
Key Account Coordinator:
- Support Sales Department by tracking program performance, execution, inventory and brand marketing with key customers.
- Will create and maintain relationships with chain account customers.
- Works to understand the customer’s demands, plans how to meet these demands, and generate sales for the company and its clients as a result.
- Will have a comprehensive understanding of their marketplace and their Key Account’s position within the marketplace. Ways to this include, but are not limited to, Key Account calls, working with the GSM and Sales Professionals, attend trade events and sales meetings while working alongside other Key Account Coordinators.
- Will conduct quarterly business reviews with Key Accounts
- Will attend monthly GSM meetings
- Will work with the Sales VP’s to educate/communicate brand stories, determine SKU’s, set goals, track and recap progress of specific monthly programs.
- Will research product portfolios and brands to use for future sales calls.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree
- Outlook and Excel expertise
- Essential: Ability to multi-task, communication skills, analytic approach, team player, organized, ambitious, works independently to achieve success.
- Aligned with the company’s mission, vision and values.
WORKING CONDITIONS & DRESS CODE
- Travel to company-wide meetings.
- Core hours of business: Monday through Friday 8am – 5pm.
- Dress code is business casual; closed-toe shoes suggested.
