The Outbound Marketing Specialist is a “utility player” and key contributor to the marketing team, who will be responsible for executing outbound digital marketing campaigns and activities such as email, social media, press releases, and video.
Reporting to the Director of Marketing, this position will collaborate with divisional marketing managers to execute co-op promotions to increase customer attraction, business performance, and brand awareness at both the customer and supplier levels, for multiple business units.
The Outbound Marketing Specialist must have excellent verbal, written, and communication skills and be a collaborative team player with practical interpersonal and project management skills.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day planning and set up of outbound marketing activities related to marketing campaigns in outbound channels.
- Collaborate with marketing team and supplier business managers to coordinate brand awareness and marketing efforts in outbound channels.
- Plan and execute initiatives to reach the target audience through appropriate email strategies and tactics (automation, personalization, etc.)
- Assist in analyzing data (campaign results, conversion rates, traffic etc.) to help shape future marketing strategies.
- Develop creative content for social media and email channels including copywriting and graphics.
- Manage and optimize outbound marketing channels, such as email, social media, youtube, vimeo, press release distribution, etc.
Channel Responsibilities
- Email Marketing: direct the development of email marketing campaigns.
- Press Releases: manage the press release development and publishing process.
- Social Media: manage content on social media channels.
- Video Channels: YouTube and Vimeo
Skills
- A bachelor’s degree marketing, communications, or related discipline.
- 3-5 years of marketing proficiency with experience in outbound channel management.
- Thorough understanding of marketing elements (including traditional and digital marketing such as Social Media and Email, etc.) and market research methods.
- Solid computer skills, including MS Office, marketing software (Adobe Creative Suite)
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS and web development tools (e.g. Dreamweaver)
- Commercial awareness partnered with a creative mind
