About Us: Helander, located in Lombard, IL, is rapidly growing and looking for a Polisher to join our team. We specialize in Metal Spinning, Hydroforming, Deep Drawing and Custom Metal Fabrication. We are AS9100 Rev D & ISO 9001: 2015 certified and are the largest producer of air calibration nozzles in the world and fabricate several custom parts for many Fortune 500 companies and small businesses all over the world.
Responsibilities
- Understand operating procedure for all tools and equipment in department
- Inspect equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment
- Deburr, grind, and polish metal parts using lathes and hand tools
- Lift moderate to heavy parts and regulate the amount of pressure applied
- Perform regular in-process, quality inspections with precision tools, to ensure compliance with function, quality, and cosmetic specifications
- Maintain job log of units produced
- Perform basic adjustments and routine maintenance
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with your hands in finesse work such as auto body work, carpentry, metal polishing, deburring, etc.
- Strong attention to detail
- High School Diploma/GED
