Digital Strategy Director Job Description
Helium SEO is seeking an experienced enterprise-level Digital Strategy Director to manage a $1-2 million book of business with three to five clients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining an 85% retention rate and driving 20% year-over-year growth. This position is available either in-office at our Cincinnati location or fully remote.
Role Expectations:
- Lead and manage a portfolio of 3-5 enterprise-level accounts.
- Develop and implement strategies aligned with clients' business goals, focusing on ROI and long-term growth.
- Grow revenue by 10-15% year-over-year while maintaining your book of business.
- Analyze data, develop insights, and present monthly reports to clients, showcasing campaign performance and ROI.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all agency communication, managing expectations and driving alignment with all stakeholders.
- Liaise between clients and the team of SEO, SEM, & CRO engineers, coordinating resources to achieve superior results.
Required Qualifications:
- 15 years of experience in media, advertising, or marketing, with a significant portion in client service and/or account management roles.
- 10 years managing Enterprise-level accounts at the specified revenue and media spend levels.
- Demonstrated success in maintaining a 90% annual client retention rate for 3 years.
- Deep expertise in media planning, strategy, digital marketing, programmatic, and social media.
- Strong data analysis skills with the ability to interpret KPIs and analytics to drive campaign performance.
- Expert-level communication skills (verbal and written) with a track record of building consultative relationships with VP/SVP/CMO-level marketing executives.
- Proven ability to transform challenging clients into passionate advocates.
- Strong problem-solving skills with experience in crisis management and creative solution development.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Track record of growing client media budgets, upselling services, and introducing new capabilities.
- Experience with SEO, SEM, and paid social advertising.
- Familiarity with tools such as Ahrefs, Moz, SEMRush, Hubspot, and other SEO analytics platforms.
- Certifications in Google Analytics, AdWords, and other industry digital marketing and analytics tools.
