Primary Purpose
Assist teacher in preparation and management of classroom activities.
Major Responsibilities And Duties
Must be able to maintain emotional control under stress.
Must be able to perform physical activities associated with caring for children 3-5 years of age. I.e., moderate lifting, walking, bending.

Major Responsibilities And Duties
- Utilize positive strategies to support children’s well-being and prevent and address challenging behavior.
- Maintain confidentiality in the conduct of district and Head Start business.
- Adhere to program health and safety policies and procedures.
- Assist in maintaining a neat and orderly classroom.
- Assist in assuring that students are supervised at all times, and ratios are maintained throughout the school day.
- Participate in staff development trainings including 15 hours of early Childhood training each year.
- Assist teacher in presenting instructional lessons throughout the classroom daily schedule.
- Other duties as assigned.
