HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE: As a Continuous Improvement Engineer, you will be responsible for consistently improving the overall efficiency and functioning of the Henderson manufacturing facility. This includes recognizing problem areas, developing improvement plans, executing those plans, providing assistance for employees by analyzing data. The CI Engineer I is responsible for execution and support of the continuous improvement initiatives in areas of safety, quality, delivery, cost and the elimination of waste from our processes.
- Act as a change agent in the organization by driving change and implementing continuous improvement processes, while utilizing and improving existing methodologies
- Analyze, develop, ratify, implement, and standardize manufacturing best practices across the Henderson Operations with a thorough understanding of manufacturing and installation processes
- Represent CI Engineering in cross functional teams on high impact projects
- Develop and implement standard processes to be used within the manufacturing facility
- Utilize 8D, Five Whys & Practical Problem-Solving methodologies to ensure proper root cause elimination of problems
- Work directly with Shop Floor Associates to resolve process risks or issues to ensure a continuous flow of product within the facility
- Monitor product and process improvement milestones to ensure on-time completion and sustainability
- Assist with the facilitation of Kaizen events and other continuous improvement projects involving production, facilities layout, inventory control, quality, and administrative processes
- Provide analysis and recommendations to management for new improvements and initiatives
- Assist in providing AR documentation and ROI for Capital Investments
- Recommend and implement improvements to production processes, methods, and controls to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost
- Prepares and maintains detailed layouts of buildings and equipment
- Development of cost standards and cost estimates
- Assurance of material and labor efficiency
- Use ERP System for proper tracking of BOM and part changes
- Utilize Autodesk Inventor to implement Design for Manufacturing and ensure proper shop floor documentation

WHAT THIS ROLE NEEDS:
- B.A. or B.S. in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Agricultural, or Industrial Engineering preferred
- Welding, assembly and/or fabrication experience is a plus
- 1-3 years of experience using solids-based 3D Modeling software
- Mechanical aptitude and problem analysis and resolution ability; solid decision-making skills.
- Technological skills required with knowledge of operations manufacturing software, Microsoft products, including Excel and Word in Windows environment, as well as Autodesk Suite including Autodesk Inventor
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a strong team player
- Time management: ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
- Ability to work independently
- Able to read and interpret documents such as prints, order requirements, and equipment specs
