JOB SUMMARY
The Mid-level Practitioner is responsible for providing health care to patients in the hospital or office setting. The Mid-level Practitioner works in consultation, cooperation and coordination through a collaborative physician. The Mid-level Practitioner functions according to the established standards and practices of medicine for Advanced Practice Nurse/Nurse Practitioner or Physician’s Assistants in the State of Texas.

Minimum Work Experience

Required Licenses/Certifications
BSN, MSN, ANP, or PA licensed in the state of Texas
BLS
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
Knowledge of medical practices, terminology, and reimbursement policies.
Thorough knowledge of patient triage, diagnosis and evidenced-based care.
Knowledge in overcoming barriers from diagnosis to treatment including: financial/economic, language/culture, transportation issues.
Skill in planning, organizing, delegating, and supervising.
Skill in evaluating the effectiveness of existing methods and procedures.
Skill in problem solving.
Skill in verbal and written communication.
Skill in speaking engagements and other activities that raise awareness to diseases and disease processes.
Ability to read, interpret and apply policies and procedures.
Ability to set priorities among multiple requests.
Ability to interact with patients, medical and administrative staff, and the public effectively.
