What are the responsibilities and job description for the CBO Analyst/Full Time/Hybrid position at Henry Ford Health System?
Under minimal supervision, performs multiple analytical functions within the Corporate Business Office (CBO). Actively supports the CBO operations by critically analyzing data and processes, to assist in the creation of effective design of insurance recovery, revenue recovery, and patient pay workflows, identification of root causes resulting in edits and denials, developing of partnerships with payor, and developing error prevention initiatives. In this role, may act as a liaison to clinical and other revenue cycle departments, information services, Helios team, and other external vendors. Participates and coordinates system or process enhancements.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business, and Healthcare.
- Two (2) years of healthcare experience. Experience with report generation, data extraction, and statistical analysis.
- Understanding of data base management, such as Microsoft Access, preferred.
- Experience at a large, complex, integrated healthcare organization, preferred.
- Ability to work independently.
- Must be proficient in Excel.
- Strong organizational and time management skills required to effectively prioritize workflow to meet project deadlines.
- Must possess interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with Corporate Business Office colleagues and internal/external customers.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
- EPIC Clarity certified, preferred.
