CARC TEAM PRODUCTION OPERATOR
3rd Shift: M-Thurs: (8:30pm – 7am)
The CARC Production performs operations required to manufacture the CARC product within the customer’s specifications and company’s quality standards.
The successful candidates will have an acceptable score on the math test.
DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Accurately follow batch ticket instructions for the specific batch
- Assemble accurate measurements of ingredients through the use of scales and gather other equipment and ingredients as needed for the production of the specific batch
- Perform assembly, mixing, blending, and grinding of ingredients as required per batch ticket order
- Complete proper documentation (such as batch tickets, fill slips) correctly and accurately including entering data into the computer system
- Complete “let down” process, clean up and properly store equipment used
- Follow all clean up and housekeeping procedures
- Comply with all quality, safety and work rules and regulations
- Stack and transport finished product to shipping department
- Identify product numbers and corresponding batch numbers
- Perform both dispersion and filling assignments
- Assist with inventory
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager.
- As part of the housekeeping procedures, the employee may be involved with the disposal of hazardous waste. The initial training of how to properly dispose of hazardous waste will be performed by the Environmental and Safety Coordinator or the department supervisor. Annual training of the same will be performed by the Environmental and Safety Coordinator.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma/GED preferred
- Additional training in mixing coatings is desired but not required
- Up to a year of experience in batch mixing preferred
- Willing to work in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent attendance history
- Computer experience strongly preferred
- Ability to receive and provide instructions in a positive manner
- Familiarity with bung wrench, drum lifter, Ideal and 1PAK filling cunos and cowls, scales and calculators preferred
- Forklift certification strongly preferred
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk or hear, stand and/or walk, use hands to finger, handle or touch objects or controls and move from place to place. The employee is regularly required to sit, balance, stoop, and occasionally reach above shoulders. The employee may regularly lift and/or move up to 65 lbs. and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
Personal Protection Equipment is required during various processes in the production facility. Safety shoes, glasses, respirators, fire retardant uniform and earplugs may be required when performing certain functions.
