Heritage Park Nursing Center is hiring a RN wound nurse
Schedule Monday-Friday hours TBD
Pay: $36.50/hr
Description:
RN Wound will be responsible for the Care to patients with Wound/Ostomy needs including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning and implementation. Provides consultation for individuals with altered skin integrity. Validates pressure ulcer data collection for nursing quality indicator. Marks the stoma site preoperatively. Other related duties as assigned
Responsibilities include:

Assess and monitor wounds

Debride, clean and bandage wounds

Work with facilities and additional care team members to determine course of treatment, including but not limited to antibiotics, surgery, and post discharge care

Educate patients and caretakers on wound care and infection/injury prevention

Coordinating wound care with home health agencies

Evaluate and monitor dermatology issues including : biopsies, skin scrapings, cryotherapy,

Networking with Peers
