Parts Manager Responsibilities:
- Hire, motivate, mentor and train the Part Department team
- Develop and administer an aggressive profitable wholesale parts program to increase profit
- Establish individual parts inventory levels and balance them for maximum inventory turns
- Monitor and adjust inventory to minimize obsolescence, ensuring and following all factory returns programs
- Partner with the Service Manager as needed
Parts Manager Qualifications:
- 5 years of management experience in an automotive parts role or equivalent
- Experience with Reynolds and Reynolds and/or ADP/CDK
- High level of initiative and ability to work, train and motivate a team
- Read and interpret documents, write routine reports and correspondence
- Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees
- Calculate figures and amounts such as commission, discounts, proportions, percentages, interest, etc.
- Define, research and resolve problems, thinking outside the box as needed
