Olaplex is seeking Head of Ecommerce and Digital Marketing to grow its online sales and presence. Position reports to the CEO who has direct responsibilities for all DTC business including Olaplex.com and Pure Play accounts such as Amazon (US and international) and Alibaba / Tmall in China.
Leadership and Management Skills:
- Orchestrate all aspects of a strategic ecommerce plan. Combine existing expertise in sales, marketing, technology, data and management to deliver a superior brand and shopping experience for all customers
- Oversee the ecommerce website of a brand. Manage the overall user experience, including site navigation, content development, checkout funnel and promotional campaigns
- Be a key component in developing the effective planning and execution of an ecommerce and digital marketing strategy, working cross-functionally with teams to ensure QA and timely publishing of all web content
Responsibilities of Head of Ecommerce and Digital Marketing:
- Responsible for developing and scaling a sustainable online growth strategy, including all budgeting, forecasting and team development and management.
- Oversee and partner with agency resources, UX/UI designers, ecommerce operations and marketers
- Serve as lead project manager for all internal and external projects related to ecommerce, including goals and key milestones.
- Aggressively grow Olaplex’s online business on Olaplex.com and Pure Play accounts such as Amazon (US & international) and Alibaba / Tmall
- Responsible for all online activities
- Work in partnership with technology and engineering resources to supervise maintenance and development efforts, governance and oversight with assistance when needed in technical discussions with site performance, UAT, QA, etc.
- Develop a world-class CSE and affiliate marketing program for Olaplex.com
- Create and maintain a digital strategy and roadmap with clear KPIs and goals
- Stay up to date on best practices in ecommerce and digital marketing
- Update website for new mobile or computer systems to appeal to current and future customers, following a detailed ecommerce product roadmap.
- Develop primary and secondary KPIs for web analytics, customer analytics and campaign analytics; develop reporting capability on a daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly basis
- Serve as strategic and tactical lead for all digital marketing efforts for both acquisition as well as retention, including but not limited to SEO, PPC, Email Marketing, Content Management, etc.
Requirements of the role:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Communication or Related Field
- 10-12 years of ecommerce experience at a multi-channel retailer or online brand with P&L and management responsibility
- Experience in working in a lean organization and comfortable in interfacing with online buyers and marketers
- Demonstrated success working effectively with internal business partners, vendors and consultant resources
- Demonstrated ability to meet objectives within budget and deadlines
- Digital marketing experience across both retention and acquisition channels
- In depth understanding of web design and web analytics tools
- Experience in various marketing technology tools
- Ideally experienced in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, UX, Dreamweaver, Google Analytics
- Knowledge of online product merchandising, Tag Management, Multi-touch Attribution modelling, Media Mix Modelling, Bid Management across networks, A/B testing of advertisements, Google AdWords, DSPs and CX tools
