Hess Construction LLC is a custom home builder in Utah’s mountain communities and the surrounding areas. We are currently looking for qualified, experienced, and talented superintendents to join our team. Hess Construction, LLC values quality and proficiency in every project we build, and those qualities are also expected from our employees. We are seeking a Superintendent to manage jobsites, work with our homeowners, direct all subcontractors, and provide detailed project scheduling. Qualifying applicants will need to have at least 10 years of experience in residential project supervision.

Position Responsibilities:
- Plan, schedule, coordinate, and supervise all jobsite activities for each project.
- Superintendents will at times need to perform designated duties and multi-task successfully on multiple job sites, simultaneously.
- Develop strong professional relationships while working in conjunction with Clients, Architects, Designers, Engineers, Inspectors, and Subcontractors, with company culture, vision, and values.
- Review and become familiar with each Subcontractor’s scope(s) of work, and schedule them appropriately in advance.
- Keep digital records of material and equipment orders for the tracking of expenditures for administrative accounting purposes, and to adequately correlate with the overall project schedule.
- Identify any delays in Project Flow and lead in the effort to resolve them.
- Manage job site safety and quality control.
- Walk the project site(s) daily to ensure all that safety standards, requirements, and regulations are consistently in place.
- Assume the responsibility of the productivity, quality, craftsmanship, and the efficient use of materials and equipment regarding a project(s).
- Ensure that the project site is always clean and organized.
- Look for and report any quality control issues to all responsible subcontractor’s representatives as soon as possible and ensure that they are corrected promptly.
- Perform contractor punch list activates.
- Maintain and manage project record keeping and correspondence.
- Direct and update construction schedules on a daily basis.
- Document all project activities daily in a designated management log.
- Review and understand all project drawings, design, and details.
- Inquire and learn about changes in the industry.
- Attend weekly Team Meetings.
- Schedule, manage, and track all on-site, company supplied labor activities.

- Must have computer program skills in Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, etc.
- Excellent time management and communication skills.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Steady employment history. Provide reasons, if any, for leaving and for gaps in active employment.
- Understand construction scheduling, sequencing, and cost control.
- Free of substance abuse.
Experience:
- Construction: 15 years (Preferred)
- Supervision: 10 years (Preferred)
