General Job Duties And Types Of Procedures Required
Trach vent patients, assessments, day-to-day nursing care
Medical surgical critical care step down unit. 20 beds with RN ratios 3-4 days/pms and 4 on nights
RN on progressive care unit, caring for 3-4 patients daily with a variety of medical/surgical diagnosis. Following provider orders, documentation of assessments and care plans, critical thinking, delegation to nursing assistant as appropriate, communication with care team (i.e. social worker, provider, charge nurse, CNA, unit clerk and other nursing staff.)
Equipment Utilized In The Unit/department
EPIC computer charting, Pyxis for medication dispensing, Rover Med Scanners
Required Skills And Minimum Years Of Experience
2 years experience with Telemetry nursing
Specific Licensures And Certifications/registrations Required
Wisconsin or Compact state RN license, BLS and ACLS are required for this position
Shift Or Schedule Requirements
36 hours per week; will be required to work every other weekend (Fri, Sat, Sun)
Floating To Over Units/departments
Will float to acute care areas, within scope
Bed Size/number Of Rooms For This Unit/department
20 bed unit
Nurse To Patient Ratio Of This Unit
4:1 on night shift
Dress Code
Any color of professional scrubs are permitted
Tell us about the unit/department specific training and orientation program:
Normal Orientation for HR/Epic, then 2 12 hr shifts orientation on floor
