Job Description
- Performs general or vascular ultrasound exams.
- Assures that a written physician order is received prior to an exam procedure and collects pertinent information prior to the ultrasound procedure.
- Reviews exams on Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), checking for quality and completeness. Completes proper paperwork and distributes exams for interpretation.
- Efficiently performs all tasks within their designated room, including cleaning and stocking their room, cleaning the machine and filter, and deleting exams off the machine daily.
- Demonstrates regard for patients’ safety and comfort during transportation, immobilization and positioning of patient.
- Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.
Certification:
- Sonographer | North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Board of Examiners | Prior to Start Date
- Sonographer | American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) | Prior to Start Date
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) | American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) | Prior to Start Date
- Basic Life Support (BLS) | American Heart Association (AHA) | Prior to Start Date
Notes:
- Must be a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer or a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
Additional Job Description
- Demonstrates understanding and follows infection control policies and procedures according to standard operating procedure.
- Maintains requirements for age specific competencies for the position and demonstrates the knowledge or principles of growth and developments and the skills necessary to provide patient/customer care/services.

Salary: $76.00 - $86.00 per hour
