About the Role
The mission of the Paralegal is to manage the legal compliance and drafting of contracts to assist with the growth of our franchise shops through the commitment of new and existing franchise partners. This role is remote.
What You’ll Do
Franchise Transactional Work:.

Under supervision of our franchise attorney,, preparing and revising franchise agreements, amendments, and related documents. - Understanding and promoting compliance with Federal and State franchise laws and regulations, as part of the organization’s internal control process.
- Analyzing and summarizing key contract terms, and compiling pertinent information about franchise agreements to enable the appropriate teams to take proactive steps for timely renewals.
- Maintaining centralized records for franchise contract materials, to create an auditable trail for contract histories and proof of compliance.
- Preparing correspondence on behalf of the legal department to assist with franchise development, operations, or litigation matters.
- Facilitating the preparation of Franchise Disclosure Documents..
- Assisting with the management of trademark- or franchise-related litigation, including responding to discovery requests.
- Aiding in the development of, and participating in, training modules related to franchising.
- Support accounting team with filing and upkeep of business licenses and tax needs.
- Such other activities that may arise and that may be necessary or helpful in managing the company’s legal and franchising matters.
Franchise Development Administrative Work:
- Ensure candidate files are complete and comply with Federal and State laws
- Prepare and manage logistics for franchise conferences and tradeshows
- Handle lead qualification calls with new lead inquiries
- Coordinate and update weekly Franchise Development scorecards
Executive Administrative Work:
- Plan and book travel for leadership team
- Own hotel partnerships
- Support in logistics for company events (board meetings, franchise discovery days, etc)
- Oversee swag and gifting for franchise partners and teams
The Ideal Candidate
- At least five years of Paralegal (Transactional) experience, and has performed work for a fast-growing franchise brand.
- Excels at delivering a world-class mutual evaluation process, to recruit the best candidates that will become world-class franchise partners.
