Experience must include the use of schematic diagrams, a variety of test equipment, and the application of appropriate electronic formulas involved in such duties as testing, troubleshooting, modifying, designing, calibrating, installing, maintaining, repairing, constructing, developing, and instructing on electronic equipment, or similar functions. Duties
- Performs all phases maintenance, trouble shooting, installation, and testing of complex electronic medical and diagnostic equipment and systems. This position will be expected to be thoroughly familiar with the theory, design characteristics, operation and function of the electronics components of the equipment, capable of obtaining technical data and information, and to analyze the data and information to determine its applicability to resolving equipment malfunctions.
- Performs in depth circuit analysis of analog and digital electronic systems by use of schematics, diagrams, and appropriate test equipment. Incumbent ensures test equipment is accurately calibrated prior to testing.
- Performs duties to modify, plan, install, evaluate, calibrate and correct malfunctions on complex medical systems.
- Plans, organizes, and formulates methods, techniques, and records to perform scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance, identification, and certification of complex electronic medical equipment, systems and sub-systems.
